Comes from a very particular barrel of old Kentucky Bourbon, and is characterized as complex and delightful. It is marked by a hint of fruit over the top of vanilla, and sweet baking spices married with fresh oak. On the palate is an initial splash of tart caramel apple, immediately followed by hints of clean honey, fresh baked bread pudding, raisin, and vanilla. The finish is dry with a lingering tease of smoke, fresh fruit, and mint.

If you’re a distiller, gin is one of those things that’s, to be honest, fun to make. There are rules for vodka and bourbon, but gin is entirely something we craft. We use the finest botanicals, freshest juniper berries, and mix them into our process at just the right time in just the right amounts to produce a gin we love, with the right amount of juniper taste (it’s not gin if you can’t taste the juniper!) but with a complex array of other flavors, from cucumber to coriander, sweet and bitter orange, and a touch of licorice and cinnamon. Try it in tonic or a martini. This gin pairs perfectly with cucumbers or citrus.

Taste Profile:Color: Beautiful medium to dark amber bordering on copper.Nose: Lemon, pine, and faint allspice, minimal notes of char gives way to banana and summer fruits. Almost no alcohol on the nose. Oak is as minimal on the nose as it is on the palate.Palate:Vanilla overlays all of the rye spice, which follows the young, new, lightly charred oak. Hints of alcohol accompany the short creamy vanilla finish.

SEVERAL FAMOUS AMERICANS HAVE OCCUPIED THE HOUSE OVER THE YEARS, BUT NONE MORE SO THAN PRESIDENT GEORGE WASHINGTON. HE USED THE HOUSE AS HIS HEADQUARTERS DURING THE WHISKEY REBELLION OF 1794. TODAY, THE ESPY HOUSE IS OWNED BY TODD EICHELBERGER WHO WAS INSPIRED SO MUCH BY THE HISTORY OF THIS HISTORIC LOCATION THAT HE CREATED A WHISKEY OF SUPERIOR TASTE AND PRESTIGE TO COMMEMORATE THE HOUSE AND ITS HISTORIC INHABITANTS.
